Who We Are

Project Roamstead came from years on the road and a deep respect for the spaces and people that kept us going. We've both lived the nomadic life long enough to know what's missing — and what's possible when the right people have the right place.

Carson Hotaling

How to Help

This is a project, not a product. Everything here was built by people who showed up and contributed. Here's how you can do the same.

Time & Skills

  • Construction & building
  • Electrical / plumbing
  • Mechanical & fabrication
  • Cooking & food systems
  • Teaching workshops
  • Land stewardship

Materials & Gear

  • Tools (hand and power)
  • Building materials
  • Kitchen equipment
  • Gym & wellness gear
  • Furniture & fixtures

Money

Monetary donations help us buy materials, keep the water filled, and keep the lights on. Every dollar goes directly into the property. We take donations via Venmo, or you can sponsor the materials for a specific project — reach out and we'll point you at what's needed.

Stays are by personal invitation only. If you want to visit, request a stay and tell us who you are, when you'd like to come, and what you want to work on or contribute. We'll do our best to make it happen. Once you're headed our way, brush up on how to be a 10/10 desert homie.
