We've got 40 acres of desert, a proper makerspace, and a crew of builders intent on leaving the world better than they found it. Now we're building a community house with all the things we wish we could fit in our rigs.
The Roamstead operates as a non-profit private recreational property. There's no fee to camp or build with us, but we're limited to hosting small groups on an invitation-only basis for the time being.
Brad made a stop at the Roamstead and gives a peek at what we're up to over here.
We're not the only nomads looking to build a stopping place for the community. We envision a network of properties around the US, brought to life by a network of co-operating founders and traveling residents.
We're not going to try to sell anyone on the idea that starting a roamstead is easy. There's a new challenge for us to navigate just about every day. What we can do is document and share what we learn along the way so the next crew that decides to get after it will have an easier time.
Yes, your rig will fit. Dispersed sites available for smaller rigs to spread out a bit.
